Does anyone remember my mum Margaret(peggy) Andrew her mum was Jane Andrew and her dad Joseph Andrew she had 2 brothers Jo and Bruce( Bruce was killed in the war). We are bringing Mum and Dad to Woodhouses in September and I know she would be delighted if there was still someone there she knew. The family lived almost opposite the school. I can remember going to Crime Lake and having a vimto!

I have been researching the Buckley family who lived in Daisy Nook (Joseph Buckley known as Owd Ab) was a phoograher there from around 1880.One of Joseph's grandsons Wifred Schofield Buckley married Alice Ashworth who was born at 25 Crime Lane in 1893. Alice (my granny) had three sisters Bertha ( I don't know anything about her) and Agnes and Dora who lived at 7 and 9 Ashton Road, Woodhouses util the 1960's. Their father as Robert Ashworth (b1858) a wheelwright who helped in the rebuilding of the bridge over the Medlock at Daisy Nook. I know a little about the Asworth family but wondered if there were any relatives/friends still around who could fill in the gaps? Thanks Neill Buckley
